The American Meat
Institute is the oldest and largest trade
association representing U.S. packers and
processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and
turkey. Based in Washington, DC, AMI is
committed to free and open trade. In
particular, we believe that the integrated,
North American beef industry that has evolved
over the last two decades should be nurtured,
not negated through an unjustified ban on the
importation of Canadian cattle and beef.
